STORY
Ashleigh was in the car with her three horse slant horse trailer in tow, she was on her way to the auction with her friend, Eden. Eden was in the market for a new horse, but didn't have a trailer of her own, so Ashleigh offered to take her, plus she always loved to look at the horses for sale. The arrived, and Ashleigh found a parking space close to the pens where the horses were kept. As her an Eden got out, Ashleigh spoke. "Okay, Eden I only have room for three horses, so don't get carried away." she gives a light chuckle at the last words, and Eden gives her a sheepish look, then speaks Hopefully i will only end up with one horse when we leave this place! and she laughs a bit as well.

Ashleigh and Eden wander towards the holding pens to look at the horses while they wait for the auction to start. Eden spots a cute little bay Morgan mare, and walks over towards her, Ashleigh follows her, knowing more about horses than her friend. The mare was nice, she looked cute and the owner told them she was in foal to a champion Friesian stallion. Eden gasps, looking at the mare, and pondering. Ashleigh does a 360 to take a quick look at the other horses, as she does, she has to do a double-take, there is a stallion, just coming into the auction yard, he was gorgeous, a blue roan brindle, such a unique horse, as Ashleigh looked at this horse, all the other sounds fade out, she can hear Eden speaking to her, but she cannot hear what she is saying. She starts walking towards the horse, as he is let into a small pen, with his halter taken off. Ashleigh sees him stand, with his ears perked at all the sounds, he then lowers his head and raises a hoof, pawing at the ground. Ashleigh gets near him, and he turns his head to look at her, he was such a gorgeous horse, his conformation was flawless. The horse studies her for a moment, then turns and walks over to her, she strokes his face and he lets out a small nicker. She moves over to his owner and speaks "Your horse is gorgeous, what's his name?" the women turns to her "This is Stud Mufflin', or I like to call him Muff, he's an Appendix Quarter Horse, his daddy was a racing thoroughbred, and his mom was a Reining quarter horse. He's 6 years old, but we haven't gotten past his ground training, i just don't have the time, nor the energy to train him. But he would make an excellent reining horse like his momma." Ashleigh mumbles a thanks, then moves back over to the horse, as she's standing there petting him, she can hear many people walk up to his owner, but all move away, mumbling they don't want to spend the time breaking a crazy stallion to ride. Ashleigh turns around as Eden comes up behind her, Where did you go? I turned around and you were gone! Ashleigh smiles guiltily, then speaks "I think I'm in love!" the stallion pops his head over the fence right next to Ashleigh and she starts to stroke his neck. Eden laughs, then asks What did you think of the Morgan Ashleigh smiles She looked nice and strudy, and that foal is going to be excellent, if you win her, i'll help you raise it." Eden smiles excitedly. Just then a voice comes on over the loudspeaker The Auction will be starting shortly, please find your seats</i>

Eden and Ashleigh find a good seat next to the ring and wait, the Morgan mare comes on, and there is a big bidding war until Eden finally wins her. Ashleigh waits and when the stallion finally comes up the auctioneer announces "This is a lovely blue roan brindle appendix quarter horse stud, he has ground manners but has not been trained to ride, lets start the bidding at a thousand dollars Ashleigh raises her hand, and a man on the other side of the ring yells out two thousand, Ashleigh bids three, the man bids four, Ashleigh bids five, and the man bids six. Sweat starts to run down her face, Ashleigh wanted this horse. the auctioneer yells out Going once for 6 thousand! Ashleigh stands up and yells Ten-thousand dollars! the auctioneer nods his head in her direction, then looks at the man on the other side of the ring, the man glares at Ashleigh for a second, then looks at the auctioneer and shakes his head, the auctioneer speaks up Going once for 10,000. . . . . . . twice. . . . . SOLD to the women over there!" Ashleigh couldn't believe she'd won him! She did it!

When the auction ended, Ashleigh went to collect her horse, she wrote the little old lady a check and was handed the lead rope, the little old lady walked away and the stallion nudged Ashleigh's chest. She walked him to the trailer, when she got there, Eden was already there, waiting with her bay mare. Ashleigh tied the stallion to the side of the trailer, and then helped the mare get in, the mare went in easily, and was secured, Ashleigh gets a hold of the stallion, and steps up into the trailer, the horse balks, then sniffs the inside of the trailer and Ashleigh speaks softly to him. "It's alright boy, easy" he perks his ears at her, then steps up into the trailer. Ashleigh secures him, gives him and the mare each a haybag, then goes and gets into her truck with Eden following, Ashleigh sighs, being so excited to have the stallion in her barn!
